Are you struggling to get the welfare benefits and services you’re entitled to?

We understand that navigating the system can be confusing and overwhelming, especially for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals. That’s why we’re here to help. We specialise in providing access to welfare benefits and services in a way that suits you – whether that’s in British Sign Language (BSL) or in English.

We want to ensure deaf people are getting the right benefits to maximise their income, quality of life and overall wellbeing. This service is available to all deaf and hard-of-hearing people throughout Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County.

Our specialist worker has a wealth of knowledge about benefits, and personal knowledge of deafness and the variety of needs within the deaf community.

Welfare Rights Drop-ins

  • Mansfield Central Library, Four Seasons Centre, West Gate, NG18 1NH – Every 2nd Tuesday of the month, 1pm–4pm (for county residents only)
  • Nottinghamshire Deaf Society, 22 Forest Road West, NG7 4EQ – Every 2nd Wednesday of the month, 1pm–4pm (for city residents only)

We can provide support with benefits, council tax, PIP (Personal Independence payment) and blue badge.
