Ways to Give

As well as general donations, there are many other ways to give to Nottinghamshire Deaf Society.

Leave a gift in your will

Legacy donations play a vital role in our work – that’s why leaving us a gift in your will could be life-changing.

Making a will or altering an existing one doesn’t have to be complicated, and you can ensure your family and friends are taken care of before any donation is made to us. Please contact your own solicitor for more information about leaving us a donation in your will.

Giving in memory

If you’re organising the funeral of a relative or friend who received support from our charity, or who supported our charity, you may wish donations to be made in memory of your loved one in lieu of flowers. Please contact us for more information.

Give through a charitable life policy

A gift through your life insurance policy is another way to make a charitable gift. You may no longer need to provide for your family or other expenses, so as an alternative you can name the Nottinghamshire Deaf Society as a beneficiary in your policy. Your solicitor should be able to help you get started with a gift through life insurance.

Payroll giving

Company payroll giving is a great way to make regular donations to NDS – many employers now operate a payroll giving scheme which allows you to make a regular monthly donation to a charity of your choice.

This scheme offers the opportunity to make regular donations from your salary before tax and the ability to keep track of your donations; you can increase, decrease or stop your donations by informing your workplace payroll team whenever you choose.

Some employers even match their employees’ donations, enabling you to double your gift to us. If you’re interested in providing tax effective support please ask your payroll or HR team for advice on joining or starting a scheme.
