Welfare Rights
The service was set up to enable Deaf people to access welfare benefits and services Nottingham and Nottinghamshire in their first and preferred language - British Sign Language.
The aim of the Service is to ensure that Deaf People are getting the right benefits, the right level of benefits and support they are entitled to.
Support can be given with:
- Income Support
- Employment Support Allowance
- Child Benefit
- Council Tax
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Incapacity Benefit
- Housing Benefit
- Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
- Attendance Allowance (AA)
- Social Fund
- Welfare Advice
