Acquired Deafness Project
Hard-of-Hearing, Deafened, or Deaf, and prefer to communicate in English?
NDS are providing new services.
One-to-One Support:
A project worker will visit you at home to discuss any difficulties you may be having and offer support to access services that may be beneficial to you.
Lip-reading and Communication Tactics:
Taster classes in lip-reading and identifying ways to improve communication.
Social Groups:
Specifically for people with hearing impairment but who prefer to use English to communicate. Meet new people, share experiences, gain new ideas for coping and have fun. Friends and family can come too.
If you are interested in any of these services or would like to offer your experiences and suggestions then we would like to hear from you. Please contact Rachael Ravenlock.
