Funding for the Society's work |
| |
Fundraising today is often one of the most difficult tasks that we need to achieve. Below are a number of ways in which you could possibly help the Society obtain its essential requirements. |
| |
BY MAKING A DONATION...
Whether large or small sums, individual donations will always be the most invaluable source of income, helping us to provide more and better services for the benefit of the Deaf Community in Nottingham. |

BY REMEMBERING US IN YOUR WILL...
By bequeathing a gift to us in your will, you will be making an invaluable contribution to the welfare of Deaf People in the county. Full details from the Society are available on request by e mail. |
| |
BY TAKING OUT A DEED OF COVENANT...
If you are a tax-payer, this will allow us to reclaim the tax you pay on your donation, thereby increasing its value by one third at no extra cost to yourself. Details from the Society are available on request by e mail. |
| |
BY MAKING A TAX-FREE GIFT...
You can make a tax-free gift of up to £900, deducted in regular amounts from your salary. If your employers have a payroll giving scheme, you can make a donation direct to the Society. If not, persuade them to start one! |
| |
BY BECOMING A FUNDRAISER...
You could perhaps organise a coffee morning, a fete, a sponsored walk or run, or any other kind of event and donate the proceeds to the Nottinghamshire Deaf Society. Every penny would be put to a worthwhile use. |
| |
BY ADOPTING US AS YOUR COMPANY CHARITY...
Companies can help the Deaf Society in many ways - through donations and adoption. Many sponsorship opportunities exist and details can be obtained from the Society’s Finance Manager. |
| |
BY USING GIFT AID...
If you are able to make a donation of £250 or more, we can increase the amount by reclaiming the tax you have paid (eg. A £250 donation can be worth £328.95 to us at no extra cost to you) |
| |
BUSINESS/INDUSTRY
We welcome help from commerce and industry. In addition to simple donations there are attractive schemes with tax advantages. Single donations under the Gift Aid scheme can be made whereby once again the Society can reclaim the tax which the company has paid over. |
